Residency with Millennium Seedbank at Kew, Wakehurst, with commission of a new series of paintings, ‘Vines tangling the ruins of our ending’ 2023, which were exhibited in a group show, Seeds, Trees and Mountains at the Aga Khan Gallery, London.

'The painting comprises layers of screen-printed botanical illustrations depicting medicinal plants under threat. Many of these plants are endemic to the Himalayas and are used in Ayurveda, a practice which the artist has been following for some years. On a recent residency at Kew, Wakehurst, Taylor took 3D LiDAR scans of various plants under threat, which are fragmented and translated as screen-prints. They appear as network-like and are entangled within the images of flora and fragments of branches, reminding us of the interconnection between all things. These sprawling networks extend from the linen onto the wall.' Esen Kaya, curator.
